This policy covers the app in every language it is sold in: Sunlight, Sol en Casa, Soleil chez moi and Sole in Casa.
Nothing. No account, no email address, no advertising or device identifiers, no usage statistics, no crash reporting of our own. We run no server that receives data from the app.
If you allow it, Sunlight reads your location while the app is open to know where the sun is in your sky. The sun's path is computed on your device. To show a place name and the local time zone, the app asks Apple's geocoding service to name the coordinates. Your location is never sent to us. You can decline location access and search for an address instead; everything still works.
When you search for an address, the text you type is sent to Apple Maps search so it can suggest matching places. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy. Places you save stay on your device.
When you aim your phone at a window, Sunlight reads the compass and motion sensors to measure which way the window faces and how high the buildings opposite are. These readings are used on the spot and are not stored or sent anywhere. Only the resulting direction and angle are saved, on your device.
Your saved places, your windows and rooms, and your settings are kept in the app's own storage on your device. We never receive them. Your device's own iCloud or backup settings apply, as they do for any app.
A share card is an image made on your device. It leaves your device only when you choose to share or save it. If you choose Save Image, iOS asks for permission to add it to your photo library. Sunlight can only add images there. It cannot read your photos.
The one-time purchase Sunlight Full is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Sunlight only asks StoreKit on your device whether an unrevoked purchase exists, and unlocks accordingly. We keep no purchase records.
No advertising, analytics, attribution or tracking SDKs are included in the app. The only outside services the app talks to are Apple's: location and geocoding, Maps search, and the App Store.
Sunlight is rated 4+ and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. Deleting the app removes the places and windows it stored on your device. Purchases can be restored through Apple at any time.
If a future version adds anything that sends data off your device to us, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the app will ask you first.
